How Shloff collects, uses and protects your personal information.

1. Who we are
Shloff is a trading name of Shloff Retail Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number [Company number], with its registered office at Unit 1, 130 Bury New Road, Prestwich, Manchester, M25 0AA. We are the data controller of the personal information described in this policy.

2. The information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Identity and contact details. Your name, email address, phone number, billing address and delivery address.
- Order details. The products you buy, your chosen specification, order history, delivery arrangements and any correspondence about your order.
- Payment details. Payments are processed by our payment provider. We receive confirmation of payment and the last four digits of your card. Full card numbers reach the payment provider only, and stay outside our systems.
- Finance applications. Where you apply for consumer finance at checkout, your application is made directly to our finance partner, who acts as an independent data controller for that application. We receive the outcome of your application only.
- Technical and usage data. Your IP address, browser type, device information, and how you use our website, gathered through cookies and similar technologies.
- Marketing preferences. Whether you have chosen to hear from us, and your interactions with our emails.
- Showroom interactions. Details you share with us when visiting or booking an appointment at our Prestwich showroom.
3. How we use your information
UK data protection law requires a lawful basis for every use of your information. Ours are set out below.

4. Marketing
We send marketing emails where you have signed up, or where you have bought from us and chosen to keep hearing from us. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by clicking it or emailing info@shloff.com. Opting out leaves your orders and service emails unaffected.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
Our website uses cookies to keep it working, to understand how people use it, and to measure and improve our advertising. These fall into three groups:
- Essential cookies keep the website and checkout working. These are always active.
- Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it.
- Advertising cookies, including the Meta pixel, help us measure our campaigns and show relevant ads on other platforms.
You can accept or decline analytics and advertising cookies through our cookie banner, and change your choice at any time through your browser settings or the cookie preferences link on our website.
6. Who we share your information with
We share personal information only where needed to run our business and serve you:
- Manufacturing and delivery partners, who receive your name, delivery address, contact details and bed specification to make and deliver your order.
- Payment providers, who process your payment securely.
- Finance providers, where you choose to apply for consumer finance.
- IT and hosting providers, who store our website and business data.
- Marketing and analytics platforms, subject to your cookie choices.
- Professional advisers, such as accountants and lawyers, where needed.
- Authorities, where the law requires it.
We never sell your personal information.
7. International transfers
Some of our service providers process data outside the UK. Where that happens, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, so your information receives the same level of protection it holds here.
8. How long we keep your information
- Order and transaction records are kept for six years after the transaction, to meet accounting and legal obligations and to honour our guarantee.
- Marketing data is kept until you opt out or after a prolonged period of inactivity, whichever comes first.
- Enquiry correspondence is kept for up to two years after our last contact.
Once information is no longer needed, we delete it securely or anonymise it.
9. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

- Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Ask us to delete your information in certain circumstances.

We protect your information with appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encrypted connections, access controls and secure hosting. Access is limited to the people who need it to do their job.

Our website and products are intended for adults. We knowingly collect information from adults only.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be published on this page, with the date of the last update shown at the top.
